CDJ BIG PULLEY KIT meets V2

Concept of the CDJ big pulley kit is still the same. But we have been trying to make better and its improving. Using our original measurement equipment,
We have found making 6mm longer between the pulley bolts than present models.(Short cages and Evoluzione)that effects reducing the mechanical friction loss mostly middle ranges. In addition, modified the short cage that one of the chain guards changed to aluminum and tightened both side.
This means more stronger than present one.
We always try to find out better effect with finest quality.

Concept

Guide Pulley remains 11teeth in order to keep shift feeling and its capability then changed to 15 teeth tension pulley for reducing friction loss of the drive chain. Also adopting ceramic bearings effect additionallly.
Both side guide plates made of machined cutting CFRP have enough strength but still very lightweight.
Derailleur attachment is proudly made in Japan and supplied our one of affiliation factory has an ultraprecision machining technology. We have extensive models and several options. So you can choose what exactly you would like to not only for your type and purpose but also your taste.

Outer / Low positon can be useful !

You can use Outer/Low (front outer gear and rear inner gear) smoother than with normal derailleur. Or quite difficult to use like this with normal one. When you ride a bike on the uphill road, once front gear changes inner then you should also change rear gear. This means frequent and futile action will make time loss and to get tired. So the BPK makes you airily.

Average speed increases more than 2 km/h !

Pedaling with the BPK is lighter and smoother than normal derailleur because friction loss should be reduced.
Several customers reported their average speed increased more than 2km/h by their cycle computer.

Outline

Digitalization for exrcise efficiency of the CDJ Big Pulley kit(CDJ-BPK), we have developed the original measurement equipment. Using a High precision brushless motor and very exquisite controller, no changing any equipment nor any condition and then changing only rear derailleur cages and pulleys from the original to the CDJ-BPK so that we can pick up a measurement for differnce of loading rates. And yo u will see how CDJ-BPK works. Reducing the loading rates means mechanical friction loss should be reducing. Reducing rate is that comparing original and CDJ-BPK. However the rear wheel is no-load so that the result i s not the same to real riding condition.
<V2> V2 means advanced Big pulley kit that has 6mm extended between pulleys would make more efficient reducing the friction loss.

Shimano R9100/R9150

New DURA-ACE9100/9150 have been released as a new generation which are single tension and shadow design coming from MTB components. So we had to redesign our CDJ Big Pulley kit suitable for them. Then we also made not only new design but also keeping strength.
Original 9100/9150 can use up to 30T rear cassette but our CDJ Big Pulley kit can fit up to 32T even though it’s short cages ! Please enjoy any circumstances with the CDJ BPK.

SRAM e-Tap WiFLi with CDJ BPK MIDDLE CAGE
  • We recommend to choose the MIDDLE CAGE if you use WiFLi.
  • Standard e-Tap with middle cage can use up to 32T rear cassette.
  • E-Tap WiFLi with middle cage can use up to 34T rear cassette.

Short Carge

Short cage can be fit up to 33T total capacity. Depending on setting, 34T might be possible.
But we reccomend to use the middle cage more than 34 total capacity.
Example: Total capacity FC:52x36 CS:11x28 ( 52-36 + 28-11 = 33T)

  • Choose from Shimano 67xx, 78xx. 68xx, 90xx or Campa 10sp, 11sp (2015 models are also fit.)
  • Choose from 4 cage colors (Matte, Clear, Red-clear, Blue-Crear)
  • Pulley color; choose from 3 colors (Back, Gold, Red)
  • Charged option: Full ceramic bearing (6,000JPY/pr with kit, 8,000JPY/pr bearings only )

Evoluzione

Shave just a few grams, you might think there is no meaing at all. But we care about it profoundly.
Drop off 2g from the attachment and 1.5g from the carbon cages gets the distinct appearance.
In addtion has been changed 2 of POM chain guides to Aluminum collars which stabilized both cage side, that has enough strength. You still might think there is no meanings but we have a point.

Middle Carge

Basically we recommend you to use the middle cage as the total capacity would be more than 34T.
For example: FC 50T/34T, CS11T/32T (50-34 + 32-11=37T)
Depending on the setting, it can be possible to use triple crank or larger front capacity.
There is no advantage using the middle cage with total capacity less than 33T, so please use the short cage.

Futhermore, we’ ve pursued to reduce friction loss then we found another effect. Full ceramic bearing its has a lot of mechanical advantages even totally no oil. But we provide you those ceramic bearings with our special oil. (see below)

Turning Oil
Full ceramic bearings can be used without any oil. But using them outside, it must be severe environment such as water, dust, debris,,,
So we would like customers to use the full ceramic bearings as long as possible.
Ceramic bearing coating by a special oil can be used longer than without oil also less than its friction. We have asked it to one of chemical manufacturers to make as our request. This is the CDJ special oil that can use not only our bearings but also drive chain, hub bearings and any other sliding parts.

Maintenance Support

For the sake of keeping superior performance and using a long time without any trouble,we strongly recommend you that the BPK must be maintained periodically. Otherwise it sometimes happens you won’ t realize its declined. Also you can change the carbon cage color, pulley color and more at that moment.

Version Change
